EDCO and the City of Lakewood are sponsoring a FREE paper shredding, e-waste collection, and mulch event.
Saturday, October 4, 2025
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lakewood City Hall, 5050 Clark Ave., Lakewood.
Certified shredding trucks will be on-site during the event, shredding all items! Each household is limited to three banker boxes (10” x 12 ” x 15 “).
Unwanted electronics, such as TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, and VCRs, will also be collected. However, no household hazardous waste (HHW) material will be accepted.
Residents can also get free compost (while supplies last). This is a self-serve, self-loading service, so please bring your own cans/bags and shovel—there is a limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle. As a courtesy, Lakewood employees will shovel the compost. If you plan to haul your compost in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.
The event is for Lakewood residents only.
