EDCO and the City of Lakewood are sponsoring a FREE paper shredding, e-waste collection, and mulch event.
Saturday, October 5, 2024
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lakewood City Hall, 5050 Clark Ave., Lakewood.
There will be certified shredding trucks during the event, and all items will be shredded ONSITE! Limited to three banker boxes (10”x12”x15”) per household.
Unwanted electronics, such as TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, and VCRs, will also be collected. However, no household hazardous waste (HHW) material will be accepted.
Also available will be free mulch for residents (while supplies last). This is a self-serve, self-loading service, so please bring your own cans/bags and shovel—a limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle. As a courtesy, Lakewood employees will shovel the mulch. If you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.
The event is for Lakewood residents only.
